At present one of our clients who are Australia's largest producer of tin is currently seeking an experienced Underground Senior Production Engineer. This mine is based out of the West Coast of Tasmania.

Reporting to the Mine Manager your main responsibilities will include

  • Short and long term planning of production
  • Mentoring Graduates / junior engineers
  • Partake in budgets and cost reviews
  • Scheduling to make sure monthly targets are on track
  • Oversee Drill and Blast
  • supervision of underground contractor
  • Weekly reporting
  • Mine optimisation (Driving Improvements)
  • Relief Mine Manager when Mine Manager is away

For you to be considered for this position you will need

  • 1st class Mine Managers Ticket  or on the way to obtaining the ticket
  • Previous production experience  in Underground Mining is essential
  • A strong background in leadership and mentoring
  • Worked with Tin or Gold previously
  • Knowledge of Surpac and Excel
  • Strong oral and written communication
